David was born in Minot, ND to Jon and Nelda Etier. He is a graduate of Minot High School, class of 1994. After high school, he began working at the Roll'n Pin restaurant and started Dave's Jukebox. In 1998, he was asked to join forces with State of Rock DJ service in which David ran the second show. After State of Rock was bought by Kent Bloms, David ran the main show for a year before retiring to pursue other things. In 2002 He joined forces with Derrick Miller and started Big City Music. In 1999 David worked for Performance Audio, where he installed Bose professional sound systems around the state. During his time with Performance Audio, David gained a vast amount of knowledge in audio sound and stage lighting. Also, while working at Performance Audio, he started working on concert stages as a sound engineer. Some of the bands he has worked with over the years include Warrant, Bret Micheals of Poison, Chely Wright, and Rascal Flatts, and countless regional and semi-national bands.
